The fourth annual Invitational Bull Sale, part of Winnemuca's Ranch Hand Rodeo weekend Feb. 27 – March 3, was a big draw for Western crowds. Winnemucca Convention and Visitors Authority Director Kim Petersen said, “Our buyers were thrilled with the quality of our bulls, and our consignors were very pleased as well."

On March 14, Riverbend Ranch had its Genetic Edge Bull Sale. The sale manager was Cotton & Associates and the auctioneers were Trent Stewart and Rick Machado.

Four hundred and thirty-three bulls sold for $2,211,350 to average $5,107.

The Jindra Angus sale took place in Creighton, Nebraska, on March 5. The auctioneer was Matt Lowery and the sale manager was American Angus Hall of Fame.

Chad and Julie Ellingson and their children Stetson, Jameson, Sierra, Medora and Sheridan hosted cattlemen and cattlewomen for their annual Ellingson Angus production sale Saturday, Feb. 2, at their ranch southeast of St. Anthony, North Dakota.

Also participating were a few of their commercial customers who sold commercial females in the auction.

Gill Red Angus held a sale at the ranch near Timber Lake, South Dakota. The auctioneer was Roger Jacobs from Shepherd, Montana.

The high selling bull went to Dan and Tara Hooper, Nebraska, and Crump Red Angus, Wyoming.

The Albrecht/Penz Bull & Commercial Female Sale took place Feb. 18. The auctioneer was Jim Birdwell and the sale manager was American Angus Hall of Fame.
