cattleconect_regArt and Stacy Butler of Spring Cove Ranch and John and Bev Bryan & James & Dawn Anderson of JBB/AL Herefords held their 20th Annual Cattleman’s Connection Bull Sale on Monday, March 14 at Spring Cove Ranch in Bliss, Idaho.  Angus and Hereford bulls and females sold to progressive ranchers from throughout the west and from as far east as Mississippi. Spring Cove Ranch celebrated its 92nd year in the Angus business and JBB/AL Herefords celebrated its 42nd year.

High-selling Angus was Lot 2 Spring Cove Emblazon 0336, sired by CCA Emblazon 702 and out of a LF New Trend 4100 dam going to Lane Smith Farms of Purvis, Mississippi for $7000.

Lot 7 Spring Cove Emblazon SB 0905 sired by CCA Emblazon 702 and out of a Spring Cove Endurance 360 dam sold to Morgan Ranches, David and Ann Rutan, of Jordan Valley, Oregon for $6000.

Lot 12 Spring Cove Destination 0121 sired by SydGen 928 Destination 5420 “Whiskey” also out of Spring Cove Endurance 360 dam sold to Woodhills Ranches, Jim Boyer, Wells, Nevada for $6000.00

High-selling yearling Angus registered heifer was lot 130, Spring Cove Carol 008, Sutro Corp, John Runkle of Boise, Idaho for $2100.

High selling Hereford bull was Lot 166 JBB/AL Ribeye 990 sired by SHF Rib Eye M326 R117 and out of an Al Felton 109 dam sold to Helmick Ranches, Neil and Sandy Helmick of Mayfield, Idaho for $4700.

Lane Smith of Purvis, Mississippi also purchased a Lot 163 JBB/AL Larson 986 sired by Schu-lar 5N of 9L 3008 and out of a /S Endurance 2233 dam for $4600.

Lot 172 ALSK Caseys Prince 063 sired by JWR 024P Sara’s Prince 153T and out of a GQ dam sold to Rocky Sherbine of Bellevue, Idaho for $4200.

High selling Hereford registered yearling heifer was Lot 211 AL MS Princess 077 sired by JWR 024P Sara’s Prince 153T out of a SB 122L Time Line 16P ET bred dam sold to Mike Brown of Redwood, Mississippi for $1550.

Volume buyer was Woodhills Ranches, Jim Boyer; Wells, Nevada

8 Angus registered yearling averaged $1529

10 commercial Angus yearling heifers averaged $992.50
