A recent Progressive Cattleman poll asked, “How will Republican control of the Senate affect the beef industry?”

The majority (58 percent) of readers said that there wouldn’t be much change. For these readers, Washington is unreliable; Republican control of the Senate makes little difference.

However, over a quarter (28 percent) of readers said that Republican control is a big help to the beef industry. In fact, they believe that there are already changes for good.

On the other extreme is a good portion of readers who believe that Republican control of the Senate may be harmful to the beef industry. Fourteen percent of online readers said that Republicans won’t help the industry, but instead hurt the industry.  end mark
