The company’s new Prima Marc BMV allows users to inject and mark the animal with a single motion using only one hand. The bottle of medication or vaccine is directly connected to the syringe, and a can of paint is mounted to the top of the device. A squeeze of the syringe’s handle activates the mounted paint can and marks each animal as it is serviced.

“When you’re spending a long day servicing many animals, it can be very difficult to keep track of which animals have been injected and which haven’t. Missing an animal or injecting the same animal twice both carry consequences,” said the company’s Kim Quinn.

“The applied paint helps verify and track such critical treatments as administering antibiotics and adds another level of quality control for accurate record keeping,” Quinn added.

The company offers 2.2-ounce paint cans in multiple colors to accompany the new BMV product, as well as replacement parts and accessories to help ensure years of use in a variety of animal care situations.  end mark
