Merget said of the design he discovered in the 1970s while working in Australia. “Recently I decided to design a bump gate that would be functional and economical for ranchers, farmers and small property owners.”

The equipment costs around $200 and is sold as a kit that includes complete instructions as well as an instructional CD.

The kit can be installed on any new or older existing gate. It has a one-year warranty for all parts and can be mounted in two to three hours.
